Skillman Street Arts & Music Fest Friday Aug 20- Saturday Aug 21!

Outlaw Gallery Presents is proud to announce Skillman Street Arts & Music Fest at 191 Skillman St in Brooklyn, NY on Friday, August 20th and Saturday, Augst 21nd from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. respectively.  Scheduled performers include Buke & Gass, Forest Fire, Kate Ferencz and Inifinity Hotel along with several local visual artists in PREHISTORIC, an indoor and outdoor group art show.  Additionally, Christmas is Today, a short film made in Brooklyn, will be headlining a series of independent cinema screenings.

Schedule is TBA. Check for updates or see our facebook page.

This will be the last event at 191 Skillman Street! The owner is selling the property and new management is moving in, so don't miss this opportunity to submit artwork to PREHISTORIC! PREHISTORIC is an open group show and will take place indoors and out. I encourage works suitable for outdoor viewing, but plenty of indoor space is available. All work will be wrapped and brought inside during the evening. PREHISTORIC will have an official opening reception on Saturday, Aug 21st.
Filmmakers please submit work on DVD or common media files for inclusion in the cinema series Friday evening. Headlining is Dan Keezer's Christmas is Today, a short film shot in Brooklyn.
Local sponsorship opportunities are available.  Food and Drink will be provided.  Skillman Street Arts & Music Festival is accessible by train, bus and bike, located on Skillman Street in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn in between the Dekalb and Willoughby Avenue bike paths and the B54 and B28 bus routes, a stone’s throw from Pratt Institute and the Bedford-Nostrand G train.
